Requirements
dCloud supports the Meraki MX Endpoints, Cisco router models, and configurations tested and approved by the Cisco dCloud Team for use with dCloud content.
Do I need a Router for dCloud use?
For dCloud use, whether you need a router depends on the specific content you plan to use:
A router is required if the content involves IP Phones or devices that do not support a Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection.
A router is not necessary if you are using the dCloud Remote Desktop client.
The content documentation will specify if a router is required or optional.
For the best experience, especially with content that uses multiple endpoints, voice, and video, it is recommended to use a router. You can also combine a router with devices that use Cisco AnyConnect VPN. For any questions, contacting dCloud Support is advised.
To set up your router for dCloud use, simply connect the router to the Internet and add it to dCloud. Meraki MX devices have zero touch configuration; however, legacy routers require configuration using customized configuration files that you download from dCloud.
Add the device for dCloud use only once for each Meraki MX.
The Meraki MX configuration will be dynamically added and removed at session start and session end, respectively. The Meraki MX will connect automatically to any session to which you add it.
