dCloud IPv6 Quick Start

April 2024

Meet the growing demand for IPv6-based connectivity in your network.

Overview

Demand for IPv6-based connectivity in networks is growing, across the world today. As a result, there is also a growing demand for IPv6 support in demo environments running on the Cisco dCloud platform.

You can add IPv6 services to a dCloud vPod, by adding a vPodGW6 router into the topology. vPodGW6 is a preconfigured, dCloud-managed router that will provide IPv6 connectivity to your vPod and automatically provide a variety of services.

  • Public IPv6 prefixes and outbound IPv6 internet access on all interfaces
  • Advertisement of IPv6 Cisco Umbrella DNS servers on all interfaces
  • Dynamic routing via OSPFv3 on all interfaces
  • Inter-VLAN routing between default/VLAN-PRIMARY and all dCloud L3-VLANs
